You and your spouse will be assisted to your hotel upon arrival at Leh Airport. Enjoy the enchanting scenic beauty of the place that will make you forget about time. Upon reaching, check-in at the hotels, freshen up and relax so that you can acclimatize with the high altitudes and enjoy the tour without being fatigued. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Leh. Tip: Beware of Acute mountain sickness. Make sure to consume a lot of water and get maximum sleep to avoid any troubles. If headache or breathing issue persists, inform the hotel staff.
On the second day, you’ll make a journey of 5 to 6 hours and visit the famous Pangong Lake located some 140 km away from Leh. On the way you’ll cross the world’s third highest motorable road Chang La. Known for its surreal palette of vivid blues, Pangong Tso was used as a film set for the 2009 Bollywood hit “The Three Idiots”. Also, the romantic milieu of the place is highly recommended for couples. Come back to Leh in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.
Fuel yourself with a healthy breakfast in the morning & start off your journey to the world’s highest motorable road Khardungla. Enjoy a cup of piping hot tea and Maggi at the highest Maggi point in the world as you appreciate the beauty of the landscape. Reach Leh by late afternoon and you can spend the rest of the day at the Leh market. At night have your dinner and lay your head at your hotel in Leh. Distance from Leh to Khardung La: 40 km Travel time (Leh to Khardung La): 1 hour Tip: Have Maggi and tea at the world’s highest Maggi point in Khardung La.
Today you have the entire day to explore the charming valley of Leh town. Start your visit with the famous Shanti Stupa and later visit Leh Palace and Hall of Fame. There are also other monasteries that you can cover and later in the afternoon end your day with a visit to the Leh market. Buy your special one some trinkets or other souvenirs to take back home.
On the fifth day of your Leh Ladakh tour itinerary, head out to Kargil. On the way, you’ll cross Sham Valley that’s laden with numerous attractions like; Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Namkila, Fotu La, Indus Confluence, Magnetic Hill, Lamayuru monastery and Alchi monastery. Reach Kargil by the evening and check into your hotel for the night. Distance from Leh to Kargil: 244 km Travel Time (Leh to Kargil): Approx. 6-7 hours
After breakfast, drive down to Srinagar via “Meadow of Gold”, Sonmarg and the world’s coldest inhabited place, Drass. This journey is perhaps one of the most beautiful in your tour till now, so keep your camera handy and make sure to have the most out of it. You’ll reach Srinagar in the evening where you’ll either check into your hotel or houseboat to spend the night. Distance from Kargil to Srinagar: 230 km Travel Time (Kargil to Srinagar): 8-10 hours
After breakfast, check-out as you will be transferred to the airport/ railway station to board a flight back home.
